Roman Reigns has officially declared his entry into the 2025 Royal Rumble match, and he wants to face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 if he wins.
The January 10 episode of WWE SmackDown opened with Paul Heyman addressing Roman Reigns’ latest victory. Heyman celebrated Reigns’ Tribal Combat Match win against Solo Sikoa at WWE RAW’s Netflix premiere, where he reclaimed the Ula Fala and finished his feud with Sikoa as of now.
Heyman took the opportunity to call out Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, revealing Reigns’ next move. “Roman Reigns respects Cody Rhodes,” Heyman declared. “But make no mistake, Roman wants his title back.” He announced that Reigns was entering the 2025 Royal Rumble match with the intent to challenge Rhodes for the championship at WrestleMania 41, if he wins.

The 2025 Royal Rumble will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. This marks the first Royal Rumble event not held in January.
Reigns won’t be alone in the spotlight. Other major names, including CM Punk and John Cena, have also declared for the match, making this one of the most anticipated Royal Rumble events in years.
