At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Gunther retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Jey Uso, marking his third victory over the former tag team champion. This victory solidified Gunther’s superiority in their rivalry.

The Ring General’s first win over Jey Uso came in the semifinals of the King of the Ring Tournament on the May 20, 2024, episode of WWE Raw. Their paths crossed again on February 19, 2024, when Gunther successfully defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Jey Uso on Raw. With this latest victory, Gunther has completed a 3-0 sweep against Uso.

Following his recent win, Gunther took to X to express his dominance over Uso, sharing a picture of himself delivering a chop to Uso and highlighting his undefeated record against him with a 3-0 score 3. The champion’s post was a clear warning to Uso, stating: “3 – 0. Stay away now!”

What’s Next for Jey Uso?

In a video posted on WWE’s Instagram following the event, Jey Uso shared his reaction to the loss and hinted at his next move. Reflecting on the defeat, Jey said:

“I just lost the match for the World Championship. Next move for Jey Uso. Man, I gotta win the Royal Rumble now, uce.”

Jey’s comments reveal his determination to bounce back from this setback and set his sights on winning the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025.
