Machine Gun Kelly, the well-known rapper and actor, recently made headlines for an unexpected backstage confrontation with WWE superstar Randy Orton. The incident occurred at WWE SummerSlam, where Kelly accompanied Logan Paul to the ring. Speaking on the ‘Impaulsive’ podcast with Logan Paul, Machine Gun Kelly detailed the encounter, shedding light on the high tensions between the two celebrities. MGK shared that he didn’t hold back when he encountered Orton, who he heard had been “talking sh*t” about him.
“I’m a very shy dude, but my defense is so high because the offense seems always so against me,” Machine Gun Kelly said.
MGK explained that he was at SummerSlam to catch up with Logan Paul and discuss potential collaborations for the show. However, upon seeing Orton, memories of the wrestler’s alleged trash talk came flooding back, prompting him to take a stand.
“It’s like when I was in the ring yesterday, just coming to say what’s up to Logan and see what we could work out for the show, and I saw Randy Orton. I remember seeing Randy Orton talk sh*t about me. I was like, there’s a point where I’m like I’m gonna practice a new version of myself. Then three, two, one, I’m like f*ck that. ‘Hey, man, f*ck you.’ Yeah.”
The unexpected confrontation left those around MGK puzzled, unsure if what they witnessed was part of the script or a real-life altercation.
“I remember all my boys were sitting there like [looking around]. Is this part of the script? I don’t know what’s happening. But the amount of people that pin me as the aggressor in every situation that I’m in are so wrong. I do nothing but commit myself to art. The art of me standing or existing makes people furious.”
MGK’s presence at WWE SummerSlam wasn’t just limited to this backstage confrontation. He accompanied Logan Paul to the ring and even got involved in Paul’s match against LA Knight.
Talking about Randy Orton, this is not the first time he has been involved in such controversies. He has previously been in a heated verbal spat with the famous rapper, Soulja Boy, who claimed that “Rap game is faker than WWE.” This led to a fiery exchange with Orton, who defended the toughness and authenticity of wrestling.
