Cody Rhodes to Defend Undisputed WWE Championship Against Solo Sikoa in Steel Cage Match on SmackDown Premiere

In a huge announcement for the SmackDown Season Premiere, Cody Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage match next week. This showdown, set for the USA Network debut, comes after intense verbal exchanges and a near-brawl involving The Bloodline, DIY, and The Street Profits.

Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa on Smackdown

Solo Sikoa, who nearly defeated Cody previously, demanded a rematch, claiming he was held back by Roman Reigns. Cody initially rejected Sikoa and tried to break up The Bloodline by getting Jacob Fatu to accept a title match instead of Solo. But, Fatu denied the opportunity, declaring his loyalty to the new “Tribal Chief”. The Bloodline entered the ring, prepared to launch a four-on-one assault on Cody Rhodes. However, The Street Profits and DIY rushed in to even the odds, turning it into a five-on-four standoff.

Before things could escalate further, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis stepped in and announced the main event match for next week’s show. He confirmed the match between Cody and Sikoa and knowing that The Bloodline’s antics were bad for business, he raised the stakes by adding the steel cage stipulation. That is why next week, it will be Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a steel cage.

Fans can expect an explosive confrontation as Cody Rhodes looks to defend his championship in what could be a career-defining match for Solo Sikoa on USA Network debut . This is the final episode of SmackDown featuring on Fox Network.
